What is padel?
Padel is a racket sport played on a court noticeably smaller than a tennis court, enclosed by glass and mesh walls. The racket is solid and perforated, and after one bounce the ball can come off the wall and stay in play.
That rule lengthens rallies and makes the game workable between players at quite different levels. Rules, serving and what a first session is like are covered in our guide to padel.
