The Casa Kilyos bungalows among the trees, Kilyos Sarıyer

Stay · six bungalows

Bungalows in Kilyos, close to Istanbul

Forty-five minutes from Istanbul, yet far enough to wake to birdsong. Breakfast for two included.

The bungalows

Six of them, all within the garden

The bungalows sit in the shade of the trees, right beside the farm and the courts. Our farm-to-table breakfast for two is included with your stay, so you can get up and walk straight to the table.

For anyone looking for a cabin near Istanbul

For most people wanting a night out of the city, distance is the real constraint. Ağva, Şile or Kerpe can run to two hours, which makes a single night feel like more effort than it's worth.

Kilyos is around 45 minutes via Sarıyer. Leaving on a Friday evening and returning Sunday afternoon genuinely works — a midweek night is even reasonable.

What you get in return is proximity to both the Black Sea coast and the pine forest at once. The bungalow area is the quietest corner of the site.

What the bungalows are like

All six are wooden, single-storey and have a veranda. Each is placed separately among the trees — close enough to see a neighbour, far enough not to hear one.

Capacity and internal layout vary between them. Tell us the size of your group and we'll work out which suits best.

Check-in is 14:00 and check-out 12:00. We can often be flexible on early arrival, and you can park close to your bungalow.

What breakfast included actually means

Our farm-to-table spread is included with the stay — breakfast for two, 09:00 – 13:00, around twenty items.

It works differently from a hotel buffet: the table is laid per person and its contents move with the season. The greens and jams come from the garden.

If you're staying Sunday night, we serve your breakfast on the day you arrive — Sunday morning — because the restaurant is closed on Mondays. So we'd suggest arriving early that day: the room is ready at 14:00, but breakfast finishes at 13:00.

Meals beyond breakfast are separate. You can book a table for lunch — the restaurant closes at 18:00 and is closed on Mondays. At weekends it's worth saying in advance.

When to come to Kilyos

June to August is the busiest stretch; weekends fill early and a minimum stay may apply over public holidays.

May and September are, to our mind, the best months. The weather still holds, the garden is full, and the crowds are noticeably thinner.

We're open through the winter too. Garden use depends on the weather, but the courts are floodlit and the restaurant works indoors — a good window for a quiet weekend.

Courts, farm and a bed in one place

During your stay you can use the padel and pickleball courts. Court time is separate from the room rate; mention it when booking and we'll plan the slots around you.

Walking the farm after breakfast is easiest for anyone staying — it's a few minutes on foot.

For weddings and larger parties the bungalows usually house the hosts and closest guests; see the events page.

Booking and availability

Single nights are possible. A minimum stay may apply during peak periods and public holidays; we'll confirm when you book.

Send us your dates and numbers and we'll come back with availability and current rates. With only six bungalows, weekends go quickly.

We can't accept pets in the bungalows. They're welcome in the garden and restaurant areas.

Common questions

About staying

How many bungalows are there, and what do they sleep?

There are six. Call us for capacity and layout and we'll work out which one suits your group.

Is breakfast included in the rate?

Yes. Our farm-to-table spread for two people is included with the stay.

If we stay on a Sunday night, when do we get our breakfast?

On the day you arrive. The restaurant is closed on Mondays, so we serve your included breakfast on the Sunday morning instead. Come early that day so you don't miss it — breakfast runs 09:00 – 13:00, while the room is ready from 14:00.

How long is it from Istanbul?

Around 45 minutes via Sarıyer. Summer weekend returns can be slow, so it's worth leaving early.

Do you accept pets?

Not in the bungalows, unfortunately. Pets are welcome in the garden and restaurant areas.

Can we book a single night?

Yes. A minimum stay may apply during peak periods and public holidays — we'll confirm when you book.

Are the courts included with a stay?

Court use is separate from the room rate. Mention it when booking and we'll plan the available slots around your stay.

Are you open in winter?

Yes, year-round. In winter the restaurant works indoors and the courts stay usable because they're floodlit.
